The hotel was in a great location, just a short drive away from the town. The staff were friendly and welcoming, making us feel at ease throughout our stay. We were pleasantly surprised by the extra touches such as the homemade biscuits and sherry in the room. The hotel had a beautiful history, with portraits and original pieces adding to the charm.
The bathroom ceiling was a bit low in places, making it easy to accidentally bang your head. Additionally, the shower in our room was not up to standard, with fluctuating temperatures that made it difficult to enjoy a comfortable shower.

We had a wonderful stay at Plas Dinas Country House. The house and grounds were stunning, creating a charming and cozy atmosphere. Our room, Mount, was incredibly comfortable and beautifully decorated. The hosts were warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The included breakfast was the best we had throughout our entire trip in Wales. We also had a fantastic dining experience at the Gun Club restaurant, where the chef's skills were truly exceptional. Despite the warm weather, the hosts did their best to ensure our comfort.

Does feel like staying with friends. interesting house with lots of history and royal connections Nice touches of luxury - fresh milk in the rooms for tea and coffee, complimentary bottled water every day Good cooking Lovely furniture
The noisy toilet macerator! OK as long as you don't flush the toilet or even run the taps at night! understand why it needs to be there though - it was an experience.... staying there is quite expensive but lots for your money, up to standard of similarlypriced luxury hotels.

Intimate and welcoming
Maybe a wider selection of food for dinner, though what we had was very good.

Every comfort catered for. Lovely log fire. Wonderful food. Peaceful Upgraded
A long way for us to go again - and we would like to! Lights not strong enough to be able to sit at dressing table

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a charming country house guest house that truly encapsulates the authentic royal experience. What sets this place apart is that it is still owned by the original family, with original paintings and furniture that add to the atmosphere of royal authenticity. Staying here was more than just an overnight stay; it was a unique and immersive experience. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a cozy log fire, which was particularly delightful in the winter. the late-night honesty bar offered a great selection of drinks, and the room and bathroom were stocked with excellent quality products. the attention to detail was evident, with a selection of forgotten items provided and the teas and coffee being of exceptional quality. it was a beautiful property with friendly staff, and the restaurant served one of the best meals I've ever had. the grounds of the house were also picturesque, adding to the overall charm of the place. It was definitely great value for the experience provided. Cons: Nothing, all excellent 😄.

It is not what you will expect from 5-star hotel, but it is more like visiting friends for weekend in country house. Service is very personal and friendly. They really make an effort to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The accommodation has seen better days though, and an antique wardrobe in Judges Room, although very sweet, doesn't fit in a coat hanger in the straight line as it is only 40cm deep. Breakfast and dinner was very nice. The position is convenient for sightseeing and Snowdonia. In overall, we've enjoyed our stay and will recommend it.

We had a wonderful Easter stay here. the mansion house was beautiful and full of history. the staff were friendly and welcoming. the room we stayed in was lovely and comfortable, with nice touches like a glass of sherry and homemade biscuits. the gardens were a great place to walk around and enjoy the views. the food was delicious and beautifully presented. Location wise, it was close to town and had a great bench with a view for watching the sunset. A tree swing was a fun surprise too.
Although the staff were friendly, they seemed a bit inexperienced. We had to rely on a fan to cool down our room as it was quite hot, and the step down into the separate toilet was a bit hazardous.

The country house hotel had a lot of character and was in a beautiful location surrounded by farm land. The rooms were well appointed and the beds were very comfortable, with great views over the large garden. The staff were friendly and attentive, providing excellent service. The breakfasts were also delicious, with plenty of choices.
The bathroom in our room was small and only had a shower, which was a bit disappointing. the restaurant was closed on Sunday and Monday evenings, which was inconvenient as we would have liked to have dinner there.

Lovely stay in a charming country house. Our room was elegant and comfortable, with thoughtful little luxuries like sherry and home-made biscuits. The history displayed on the walls added to the ambiance. The breakfast was perfect, especially the avocado and poached egg on sour bread. a delightful experience.
